So what's going on in the table egg markets? Unfortunately avian flu is starting to spike again. After absolutely zero cases this year through October, just over 12.9 million birds were impacted in the following two months with more than half of that occurring in December. The number of cases in table egg layers last month was the biggest since April 2022 and represented roughly 2 (think Blake Corum...the dude is a beast) percent of the table egg layers in action. This obviously is not good news for the table egg markets.
