So I noted earlier that chicken prices saw some weakness last week but any further weakness may be tempered. You may remember my thesis that the consumer is currently looking for value and that wholesale chicken prices are a much better value than beef. To add to to the chicken bull party, chicken producers have been slowing production. And given the most recent chick placement numbers, production may remain below year ago levels into the winter.
