Feed crop ratings the worst since....
Speaking of not favorable, we discussed last week that the historic dry spring so far for corn and soybean country is negatively impacting the crops. So much so that domestic corn, soybean and even spring wheat crop ratings have been declining in June. Just last week alone, the share of the soybean crop rated in either good or excellent condition dropped four points. Not to be outdone, the share for corn cropped eight points. For those keeping score, and you know I got you, a little more than half of the domestic corn and soybean crop was rated in either good or excellent condition last week- the lowest share of the total crop in 35 years.
