The USDA made some adjustments to plantings late last month lowering soybean and wheat acreage and increasing corn. The USDA also increased wheat yield and harvest projections for various classes of wheat earlier this month. And the markets have generally reacted downward to this stream of news. Corn and soybean supplies with the new crop are expected to improve as the chart shows below.
