Don't look now but beef 90's set a new record high last week and beef 50's have been on the rise as of late as well. And when you put these two market forces together you get higher hamburger costs. As a matter of fact, and boy was last month's presidential debate lacking those, the cost to produce hamburger in June set a new record high up ~4 percent from prior year and a whopping 54 percent since the outset of Covid restrictions in February 2020.
