Cheeseheads Win

Now, about cheese. Prices have been fairly range-bound in 2025, even though milk and cheese production has been putting up JJ McCarthy–level wins (did you catch that 4th quarter in Chi-Town? And is Kevin O'Connell the best coach in the NFL?). For context, U.S. milk output in July was “Klump strong” (think Hercules) — up 3.5% from last year, with the cow herd the largest in more than four years (D’Andre Swift reference fully intended, because Bears fans need a a little love today).

So why aren’t cheese prices breaking down? Exports. As the chart up top shows, cheese exports set a record in June and nearly topped it again in July. And there is no indication that exports will slow anytime soon.
