Commodity Index Remains Historically Inflated

The Datum FS Commodity Index this month so far is below June and a whopping 16 (think: Rose Lavelle) percent lower than last year. The seasonal index rise this year has been tempered as well only up 3 (think: Sophia Huerta) percent. For those keeping score, and it sure is fun to do so unless I'm playing golf, the seasonal rise in the commodity index this year is the lowest for any non Covid impacted period since 2015. But before we get too excited here, the commodity index is still historically inflated as the chart shows below.
