Tariff Impact on Commodities

Will we play nice with China in 2025? Or will additional tariffs knock the markets down? There’s no denying that agricultural exports are a key driver of the commodity markets. Additional tariffs could have a deflationary effect on certain products. China has been the largest destination for U.S. agricultural exports by volume over the past four years. However, this dynamic is shifting. With declining trade to China, it’s possible that Mexico may take the top destination for U.S. agricultural exports championship belt this year.
