Bird Flu Blues

For those keeping score, and the SEC has struggled doing so this College Football Playoff, wholesale table egg prices in December were a record for the month and show no sign of a typical seasonal dip. Unfortunately, supply constraints are playing a big role: Avian flu affected nearly 12.5 million table egg layers last month, representing 4% (think big number) of the December 1 inventory.
